How to start recording using HotRecorder™

Once HotRecorder™ is opened, before you begin a communication using your telephony or VoIP application, all you need to do is follow these easy instructions to start recording:

1. Choose the application you want HotRecorder™ to work with: right click on the icon of HotRecorder™ in the System Tray, a menu with configuration options will appear. Choose the option "Activate HotRecorder for" and select the application you wish to record.

2. Call the person that you want to record.

3. Start recording: Once the conversation is established, click on the "recorder" menu on the HotRecorder™ window. Then, click on the "Rec" button.

You should start recording once the conversation is established. If you start recording before the conversation has started, then there could be some synchronization problems.

Special Recommendation:
As a default, HotRecorder™ records in Stereo. So if you are hearing with only one earphone, and you would like to listen to all parts in the conversation, you will need to set up HotRecorder™ to record in MONO.

To do it, before you start the recording, click on the “Options” menu on the HotRecorder™ window and then on the "MONO" option in the “recording type” section. To finish, click on “SAVE”.

Hint: By clicking on "Pause" you can stop recording whenever you want without altering the conversation you are holding. You can restart the recording by clicking on "pause" again.

Hint: You can click on the Emotisounds™ menu on the HotRecorder™ window and use these humorous sounds within your conversation. Please note that the Emotisounds™ will also be heard by the other party as well as get recorded.

3. End recording: When you want to end the recording, click on the "stop" button. Write the name of the recorded file in the field "Filename" and complete the optional fields. This will allow for proper storage and easy search of your play list to find the files you saved. Once you finish, click on "Save".

Hint: We strongly recommend filling the optional fields in the form. This will make searching for your conversations much easier.
